The annual festival brought together the best and brightest theater students from across the state for workshops, performances, and competitions. This year, the students from these three Buncombe County high schools stood out - not only for their talent, but for their camaraderie and dedication to the craft of theater.

EHS theater students, under the guidance of teacher Susan Stanley Marino, participated in various events including solo musical theatre, duet musical theatre, solo acting, and costume construction. NBHS, led by Rick Webb, and OHS, under the direction of Lyn Nihart, also made significant contributions to the festival, reflecting the strength of their theater programs.

The festival not only served as a platform for competition but also as an educational experience, offering workshops conducted by college and professional theater practitioners. These sessions provided students with insights into various aspects of theater production and performance.

The success of these schools at the festival underscores the impact of dedicated educators like Marino, Nihart, and Webb, whose commitment to theater education has cultivated award-winning programs. Their efforts have not only enhanced the artistic skills of their students but have also fostered a sense of community and passion for the performing arts.
