Sonny Kelly a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force dedicates his performace to the Black freedom fighters and veterans. He presented his production before students at CD Owen High School on March 7. In the tradition of bringing our students opportunities to expand their learning, history teacher, Mr. Warnick, hosted the event and invited other history classes to join for the presentation. The engaging performance based upon research provided by the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources divisions of Archives and History and the State Library, was well received by students.
