Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Support Local Student Talent
This spring, audiences are invited to travel somewhere over the rainbow as the students of Charles D. Owen High School present their production of The Wizard of Oz.
Featuring more than 34 student performers, technicians, designers, and musicians, the production represents months of creativity, collaboration, and dedication from young artists across multiple grade levels. From colorful costumes and imaginative staging to beloved songs like “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “If I Only Had a Brain,” this classic story comes to life through the energy and commitment of local students.
The Wizard of Oz Production Schedule:
Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m.
Friday, May 1 at 7 p.m.
Saturday, May 2 at 2 p.m.
Tickets: Don't miss your chance to see this spectacular event; purchase your tickets online today! Tickets cost $20 for adults and $15 for students.
The production is more than a performance—it is a celebration of arts education. Students have worked both onstage and behind the scenes learning acting, stagecraft, teamwork, responsibility, and leadership skills that will serve them far beyond the theater.
Community support plays an important role in keeping school arts programs strong. By attending the show, audience members help encourage young performers while supporting opportunities for future productions. Families, alumni, and community members are encouraged to bring friends and follow the Yellow Brick Road to celebrate the talent, imagination, and hard work of local students.
A full house sends a powerful message to students that their work matters.
