-Anatomy and Physiology

Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) is an elective course offered by the OHS science department. A&P explores the systems of the human body, how they work and how they function together.  This semester long class is offered to gain a better understanding of the human body, diseases that affect the human body and possible careers in the field of medicine.

-Physical Science

This course is a quantitative study of matter and energy and their interactions.  Topics include mechanics, heat, electricity, magnetism, sound, and radiation, as well as a study of the chemical structure and composition of matter.  Students will be responsible for laboratory activities and will need to be able to use mathematical formulas and equations.

Welcome to our science class .  I am very excited for our Fall 2020 semester! Out of all the science courses Physics and Anatomy and Physiology are my favorites but I also really enjoyed Biology.  I hope that my enthusiasm and love of science will help you enjoy the class also. I enjoy the study of science and value it, even more, when I see students make connections to science that apply to their own lives.  I know that it has more meaning to you when what you are learning has environmental, historical, social, health, or even ethical issues that you can relate to.

My purpose is to encourage you to think for yourself, ask questions, and reason out ideas to form your own theories and beliefs. To assist me in my task, I use current event media, such as scientific journals, newspapers, and internet web quests.

Please read through of the sections in the website. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
