Student Tour SLFairAt Charles D. Owen High School's Service Learning Fair, there was something for everyone. Students learned about providing hands-on help in a garden, caring for children and animals, getting involved with their local fire or sheriff's department, and more from nineteen visiting local organizations. The annual Fair held in Owen's media center aimed to give students, teachers, families, and clubs the ability to get involved locally and learn more about the kinds of services available to them.

"We believe in connecting students to their community," explained Media Specialist Ms. Samantha Gallman, who organized the event.
