Adobe Visual Design

Industry Credential: Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator

Description: This course is project-based and develops career, information technology, and communication skills in graphic design using Adobe software. Students create artistic works using the latest Adobe Creative Cloud software and have home access to the Adobe Suite for the duration of the course. This course is aligned to the Adobe Photoshop (photo editing), InDesign (page layout), and Illustrator (drawing/illustration) certification. English language arts and fine art elements and principles of design are reinforced. All students sit for the Adobe Certified Associate exams, like Microsoft certification.


Digital Design & Animation 1

Description:  This course explores careers in media arts, intellectual property laws, and basic design principles including color theory, 2D graphic production, video production, and 3D modeling and beginning animation. This curriculum builds foundational skills that lead to further study in Digital Design and Animation and/or Game Art Design.

Description: This course explores further study in 3d Modeling and Animation using Autodesk 3ds Max. Topics include portfolio creation, advanced 3d modeling concepts, visual effects, and rigging characters for animation and gaming.


Game Art & Design

Prerequisite: Digital Design & Animation 1

Description: This course explores design concepts, processes, and technical skills needed to create 2d and 3d card games, board games, and video games. Students learn and practice strategic thinking, writing, and planning.  These invaluable skills are learned in a fun and interactive environment.  This curriculum builds foundational skills that lead to further study in Advanced Game Art Design.
