Purpose: The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the education of students at Owen High School by fostering relationships among the school, parents, and students and staff, so that together we can reach our full potential as a learning community.

What: PTO  raises funds to use for staff appreciation activities, provide professional development opportunities for staff through a mini-grant program, engage in conversations  with principal and staff to learn of other priority needs at the school.

Who: 2018-2018 Planning Committee includes: Wendy Link, Missy Harrin, Hope Burk, and Margaret Hurt. The PTO is open to any interested parents. Please watch for emails about the next meeting from PTO if you would like to attend and get involved.

How to Keep in the Know:

The best way to stay informed is to sign up for and read the PTSO email messages sent several times per month, including calendar items, what's coming up, how to get involved. To sign up: A monthly meeting is open to all parents.

Fundraising: A Key component of the PTSO is to raise funds to put back into the school where needed! Thank you for helping with these fundraisers to make this happen this school year:

  • September:Annual Giving Letter
  • October: Goodwill Collection
  • Fall/ Winter: Working the ticket table at all sports events

What's Coming Up on the Calendar:

  • Dec: Holiday Meal for staff from PTSO
  • February: Show Some Love Supply Drive (tissues, sanitizer, wipes, paper, etc)
  • March: Staff meal for curriculum night
  • May: Staff Appreciation Week
