If you receive SCHOLARSHIP offers from organizations or colleges, even if you choose not to use them, bring MRS. ABSHIRE a copy ASAP… We use this information for Academic Awards Night!

 

  • Dr. Black Health Care Scholarship

    $500 to a senior planning to enter the medical field. Applications in scholarship box. Due April 24.

     

  • The Asheville Home Builders Association - Scholarships may be awarded to students attending a college, technical school or a senior in high school studying in a construction related field.  Award recipients will be announced in June and invited to be recognized at the June AHBA After Hours Member Event.  Click Here for eligibility, criteria and application or for more info and to apply, go to https://ashevillehba.com/ahba-scholarship/ Up to $3000 is awarded per year and up to $1000 per recipient.  Application Deadline: April 30, 2018

     

  • NC Governor’s Highway Safety Program Click it or Ticket Scholar-Athlete Essay Contest  DEADLINE:Monday, April 30 at 11:59 pm. Student-Athletes can write a 400-wordorless essay fora chance to win prizes from theNCHSAA! Here is the prompt: How can you position being a scholar athlete to promote positive behaviors to your peers, such as wearing a seat belt and staying away from drugs and alcohol? Click here for the Scholar-Athlete Essay Competition application and to learn more

     

  • Mission Health CNA 1 Scholarship: The Mission Grows CNA-I scholarship will cover full costs for the CNA-I certification program at A-B Tech. The scholarship will cover the full costs of the A-B Tech program, including tuition, books, uniform, background checks, drug screens, certification exam, shoes and watch.   • Stephens-Lee Alumni Association Scholarship: Must be received by May 8. All applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or better and one of their parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents must be a Stephens-Lee High School or Catholic High alumna/us. Applications are available in the Scholarship Box.

     

  • Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Receive up to $2,500 to pursue a career or technical certificate/degree. Must have critical financial need and have overcome adversity. Due June 15. For full details and the application, go to

  • SeniorAdvice.com Senior Caregiver Scholarship: $2,000 scholarship to an eligible student who has been a caregiver for a senior friend or relative. One student, who will be attending college or university in the Fall of 2018, will receive $2,000 for tuition and/or books.
