 Microsoft IT Academy


 
 Students in Microsoft IT Academies benefit from world-class Microsoft curriculum and cutting-edge software tools to tackle real-world challenges in the classroom environment. In the first part, students will learn to use the newest version of Microsoft Word interface, commands, and features to create, enhance, customize and share documents as well as create complex documents and publish them. In the second part, students will learn to use the newest version of Microsoft PowerPoint interface, commands, and features to create, enhance, customize and deliver presentations. In the last part,students will learn to use the basic features of the newest version of Publisher to create, customize, and publish a publication.
 
The students will have the opportunity to achieve Microsoft Specialist Certification, in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.

RACE Credit


This course is articulated to align with college courses. Students who meet the following criteria may earn RACE Credit (exempt the course) for AB Technical College and Blue Ridge Community College:

-90 or higher on the North Carolina State Final Exam
-Earned an A or B in the course
