Samantha Gallman was recognized Spring 2014 with an
Excellence in Literacy Teaching Award by the
Great Smokies Reading Council.

Literacy Coach, Kenny Mckee shared the following, "Samantha believes that all students deserve the right to scaffolded yet rigorous learning. She embraces 21st century literacies, but she also values traditional literacies. She can skillfully determine which tool will best serve student learning: whether it's an iPad or a young adult novel. Samantha is a learner who is eager to experiment with new ideas. Most importantly, she is a teacher-leader whose passion inspires her colleagues to become their best selves."
