  • The Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship: Value: $20,000 - Achievement-based scholarship awarded to seniors. Criteria: capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools/ communities.   • Danforth Scholars Program at Washington University in St.Louis

    Students must be nominated by the school by November 1. This is a very competitive scholarship. They are looking for students who have exhibited a capacity for service and leadership, as well as academic excellence, and who will embrace the challenges of a rigorous academic curriculum. Scholars may receive full or partial tuition scholarships renewable for each year. See Mrs. Abshire for nomination information.

     

  • Appalachian State University - Apply for Scholarships, The Honors College, and The Watauga Residential College. November 15 - Deadline to submit a completed application for admission. More info at http://scholarships.appstate.edu/apply/freshmen

     

  • East Tennessee State University: There are many scholarships for out-of-state students. Dec 15: Application deadline for Academic Performance Scholarships for Freshmen and University Honors Scholarships. Go to http://www.etsu.edu/scholarships/ for a complete list of scholarships and due dates.
  • WCU Scholarship Application -To considered for scholarships for the 2017-2018 school year, students must submit the general scholarship application by Feb. 1.

Financial aid administrators will be available on FAFSA Day, Saturday, October 28 from 9-12 to walk you through the FAFSA process. This event will occur at a variety of campuses throughout the state.
