The Owen High School Counseling Center:
The Counseling Department is comprised of three counselors and a Career Development Coordinator along with several "adjunct" social workers and school nurse. The Counseling Department provides the students with comprehensive counseling services including individual and group counseling, classroom guidance, academic and career planning, student enrollment and registration. The counselors provide resources for students in the areas of post secondary education opportunities, scholarships, summer programs, financial aid and testing information. The career development coordinator serves as a liaison between students and the business community. We have a Graduation Initiative social worker who works particularly with juniors and seniors who may have obstacles preventing them from graduating and our additional social worker helps link students and families with financial, emotional and educational needs with community resources.
